I found this really interesting article about how one of the co-founders of Wikipedia has started a political Wiki called Campaigns Wikia.  The article goes on to give a very succinct critique of the varies platforms used to promote Web 2.0.  It includes some highlights of success stories of Web 2.0 and their impact on recent events such as the PeopleFinder created after Hurricane Katrina.  The website is:
